Same-Day Denture and Partial Repairs
It can happen to anyone – you handle your dentures carefully, but one day, you bite down on something hard or drop the appliance on the floor and you end up with a cracked base or broken tooth.
If you’ve ever had this happen to you, you know what a hassle it can be to wait until your dentist can fit you in and then wait some more while the repair is made. Whether you have a full or partial denture, walking around without your teeth can be just plain embarrassing.
Same-Day Denture Repairs
At our Murrieta dental office, we know how important your dentures are, so we offer same-day emergency denture repair. In most cases we can accommodate you quickly to get your denture repaired within one day. Your complete comfort is one of our top priorities, and that includes dealing with emergencies like broken dentures that can leave you feeling stressed and worried.
Dr. Prais and the rest of our team know that a broken denture can affect your lifestyle, and we don’t want you to spend a minute longer than necessary dealing with the problem. We will get you taken care of as quickly as possible so that you can get on with your life. Simply leave the broken appliance with us in the morning and return that afternoon to pick it up.
How Is Same-Day Repair Possible?
We have a trusted dental lab standing by to make efficient and professional same-day repairs. If you do break your denture, please don’t be tempted to use an over-the-counter repair kit as you will probably do more harm than good. The technicians at our dental lab use special acrylics, denture adhesives, and professional-grade teeth that are not available in store-bought kits.
It’s important to note that the time it takes to repair the denture depends on the extent of damage. While we do our best to get the denture back to you the same day, there are situations where it may take the lab a bit longer to make a proper repair.
Efficient, Supportive Care When You Need It Most
Keep in mind that your dentures are a dental appliance and need to be handled with care. Avoid eating very hot foods as they can damage your dentures. Stay away from hard foods or food with bones that can crack your denture or break a tooth. Don't handle your dentures with wet hands to prevent them from falling on a hard surface like the sink or floor. If possible, hold your dentures over a soft surface to avoid breakage if they do fall. When not wearing your dentures, store them in a safe place.
If you do have an emergency with your dentures, please don’t hesitate to contact our Murrieta dental office at 951-677-4188. Our professional team is sensitive to the apprehension you may have about seeking out help for a broken denture. We want you to know that your concerns are very important to us, and we will do everything possible to get you taken care of quickly and with a minimum of effort.
